CINEMA IN THE SNOW

Pop Up Screens are turning Hackney Showrooms into a winter wonderland for a season of festive films. There’ll be Christmas trees, mulled wine, hot chocolate, and up to three screenings a day, with daytime movies suitable for children and evening events for adults. CHIHARU SHIOTA: ME SOMEWHERE ELSE

The latest exhibition from artist Chiharu Shiota showcases the human, non-digitised version of the early version of the world wide web. ‘Me Somewhere Else’ exhibits a series of artworks exploring our connections with one another and to the planet, land and air.

Giving their customers a much needed break through the Christmas shopping period, Greggs offered a free gift-wrapping service at a selection of its stores across the UK. Customers could enjoy a glass of mulled wine while the elfs wrapped gifts in bespoke Greggs paper. Find out more here.

CABIN LIGHTS FOR TAKE-OFF

EasyJet and London Luton Airport created a festive lightshow as part of the Airport’s 80th anniversary. Projective lights filled an A320 Airbus with festive decorations from wrapping paper to gift boxes, putting together a spectacular show for the families of staff and crew at Luton Airport. TIME OUT WATERLOO MARKET 2021

Time Out Group is looking to expand its portfolio of markets by revealing plans to open in one of London’s Waterloo station in 2021, in addition to existing plans for a market in Spitalfields to open in 2020.

The brand already have markets in Lisbon (pictured) and opening soon in Miami, NY, Boston, Chicago and Montreal. Keep an eye on these spaces for new unique event venues. Find out more info here.

However on a more cutting edge and high tech version this could see cameras taking a passing consumers image and inputting that into a digital poster at the end of a pathway.
