5 Events and Brand Experiences That Kept Us Busy Last Week

We’ve had a hectic but exciting few days in Verve this week! From opening The Magnum Pleasure store at Arnotts in Dublin, launching Volvo’s new car model, to sending a former Westlife member down the Thames in London – there was never a dull moment. Here’s what we got up to…

1. Guinness Storehouse Internal Team Event – May 08

Our client Diageo hosted an internal team event at the historic Guinness Storehouse at St. James Gate. The event featured six stalls, with the main focus being innovation. Using bespoke branded VR headsets and the latest mobile technology, we virtually transported attendees to remote locations and iconic capital cities all over the world.

We also installed this gorgeous mural by @fuchsiamacaree as part of a project at Dublin’s famous St. James’s Gate.

2. Magnum Pleasure Store at Arnotts – May 11

With summer weather finally creeping in, Wednesday was the perfect time to unveil the Magnum Pleasure Store at Arnotts for our client Unilever. At the glitzy launch, guests indulged in some serious chocolate decadence by creating their very own Magnum ice creams, complete with luxury toppings and drizzled with melted chocolate. The Magnum Pleasure Store will be open for 12 weeks, don’t miss the chance to create your own.

3. Airbnb Warehouse Warming – May 11

We helped our client Airbnb celebrate the opening of their brand new Dublin international HQ, simply called “The Warehouse”, in the heart of Silicon Docks. At the aptly named “Warehouse Warming”, we provided graphic design, entertainment and production elements.

4. Volvo S90 Launch – May 11

To celebrate the launch of the new Volvo S90, a launch event was held at The chq Building at Dublin Docklands. We managed all aspects of the event planning and management, working on a bespoke outdoor display unit and also placing one car inside the building. Over 300 guests in attended to watch the official unveiling of the new luxury car.

MC Matt Cooper led a panel discussion on the “Evolution of Luxury” and guests enjoyed catering by Eathos and Scandinavian inspired cocktails from Soder & Ko. Guests could also enjoy the Volvo Hololens Room – a virtual reality experience bringing the S90 to life.

Our launch activity didn’t end there! The cars remained on display at chq until Friday 13th May, giving the general public a chance to see the car too.

5. Meet Dublin in London – May 12

It was all hands on deck on the Silver Sturgeon Cruiser in London, for Dublin Convention Bureau’s annual Meet Dublin In London event – hosted by former Westlife member, Brian McFadden. We created the look and feel on the day and ensuring attendees were met with that unmistakable Irish hospitality.
